Happy Father's Day

We made it (anonymously) into the newspaper in Arequipa, Peru! Jose, the orphanage director, sent us this image. There's a little blurb in the bottom left talking about adoption in Peru.

Basic translation: It used to be difficult to find families willing to adopt children, but now families look for kids - not only babies but children up to 17. There are 16 Peruvian families that want to adopt children and there are four children (2 sibling sets) that are going to be adopted soon to the United States. That would be us!

Tomorrow is also Father's Day in Peru. Jose told us that he is going to talk with the kids tomorrow and tell them about the adoption plans.
